AUSTRALIA
Last month I flew to Sydney, and stayed
there for four days. I took the ferry
boat at the Circular Quay in order to
sea the famous Opera and
the Harbour Bridge from the sea.
After that I went surfing at Bondi
Beach, a place
which is famous because many films
were shot there. I swam at Manly
beach on the Northern Coast of the
city, that was fun!
Then I went to Canberra, the city
capital of that amazing country, to see the artificial lake and the
activities of Burley Griffin, then I visited the parliament.
In Canberra I spent six days. I also
went to the National Portrait gallery where I saw some very nice
paintings. Then I drove to Telstra Tower, which is situated at the
top of the Black Mountains. I had a coffee there. The view from there
was unbelievable, I could see all the buildings
and monuments of the city. I saw
aboriginal art at the National Gallery, there was an exhibition of
paintings and wood cutting.
Six days after I left Canberra and took
a plane to Melbourne, where I spent two days and where I saw the old
campsites, and old fragments of stones, also animals's bones that had
been left by the previous colony the Ngunawal. I reached the National
Park Namadgi, where I hiked. Then I went in a street where there were
some shops and restaurants.
I discovered the federation
St Kilda Victoria. Once in Melbourne (? wild animals in Melbourne?) I discovered wild animals and
plants at Phillips Island and I also visited the vineyards. Then I
went trekking in the Australian Alps, and rode a bike and I had the
opportunity to admire an amazing landscape. I visited the caves of
Lyrebird Dell, the aboriginal place is about 2000 years old and is
situated not so far from the Blue Mountains.
I spent 6 days at
Kangaroo Island where I met some kangaroos, penguins, koalas and
wallabies. I walked among sea lions. I had a stroll by night on the
American River and after that at Hanson Bay I touched a koala and I
played with sea lions. They were so cute! I had the opportunity
to see some kangaroos, I even touch them ! I also swam in the
crystalline water of the secret beach of Stakes Bay.
I spend the last days of my trip at
Lizard Island, on the Great Barrier Reef, with such blue
water! I did scuba-diving, in order to see the greatest fishes of the
world, those with beautiful colours. I rented a boat, and spent some
hours relaxing: I had a nap and I sunbathed.
I enjoyed my stay in Australia! It was
an amazing journey! I met a lot of people, took a lot of pictures and
the weather was very nice.
It is a great country with beautiful
landscapes.
