Lucile's Sydney

Hi everybody !
I'm back from Australia ! My trip was fantastic! I went to Sydney for 3 weeks . It's  a wonderful place, it's a very cosmopolitan city where you can discover many different ethnic groups . Inhabitants of Sydney are called Sydneysiders, comprising a cosmopolitan and international population.
I visited many different places, and that allowed me to discover the Australian customs. Sydney  is the state capital of New South Wales and serves as the most populous city in Australia and 47th most populous city in the world. I discovered many things about the history of the city. The site of the first British colony in Australia, Sydney was established in 1788 at Sydney Cove by Captain Arthur Phillip, of the First Fleet, as a penal colony

I visited a the museum of the aboriginal , Indigenous Australians are the original inhabitants of the Australian continent and nearby islands.
Indigenous Australians migrated from Africa to Asia around 70,000 years ago and arrived in Australia around 50,000 years ago
The city is built on hills surrounding Port Jackson, which is commonly known as Sydney Harbour, where the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are prominent structures. I took many pictures for you for example one of the famous Opera House!

Within the city are many parklands, including Hyde Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens, i explored many different part of the city. The main airport serving Sydney is Sydney Airport and its main port is Port Botany. I've been to both and they there are so huge, it's amazing.

I went to a soccer match between two Australian team, the atmosphere was amazing, that was an unforgettable experience, I think that you have to do this if you go to Sydney!

I've never had such a fascinating travel experience in my life! It was really fantastic! Everything was great, my hotel was very well placed, I was close to all the shops and museums of Sydney bay ! One weekend, I went to a surf lesson with two Australians Brad and Stanley.
It was an unbelievable experience! It allowed me to discover the Australian culture and met new people! During my last days in Sydney, Brad gave me a surprise, he took me to see a show at the opera house.
I will keep very good memories of this trip.
Lucile Combe.

  1. Hi Lucile,

very good work! I've highlighted in yellow everything that needs correction. In green what I've added, this is already corrected but I wanted you to see the difference with what you wrote earlier. Please correct and update! Thanks, Mrs Baldwin
